Here is the minutes as provided by the committee:
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Gabor at 5:00 p.m. The following members present: Gabor, Swanson and Wille.
The following item was discussed:
1. Bike path Master Plan: The Farnsworth Group presented their proposed routes. Some changes were made. Farnsworth Group will present their plan at the June 3, 2019 Council meeting. Additional public open houses to obtain public input will be June 18th, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
2. Emergency Weather Warnings - Splash Pad - Staff researched the installation of an early lighting Thorguard System similar to the one used at the Rec-Plex. The cost would be $10,000. An alternative would be to utilize the Rec-Plexes system and send an internet signal to the Splash Pad. Cost to install internet sevice to the Rec-Plex is $6,750. Committe thought this was a better solution, getting both lightening detection and internet connection at the Rec-Plex.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:15 p.m.
