Bloomington home prices rise in the fourth quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2018 in Bloomington rose by $1,350 while total sales increased by 14.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2018, there were 283 homes sold, with a median sale price of $159,900 - a 0.9% increase over the $158,550 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 247 homes sold in Bloomington in the fourth quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Bloomington for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,769, approximately 2.4% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2018.
