McLean home prices rise in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in McLean rose by $21,500 while total sales decreased by 12.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 14 homes sold, with a median sale price of $110,500 - a 24.2% increase over the $89,000 median sale price for the previous year. There were 16 homes sold in McLean in 2016.

The median sales tax in McLean for 2017 was $2,491. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,407. This marks an increase of 3.5%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.3%.
