City of Fairbury City Council met Sept. 18.
Here is the minutes provided by the council:
1. Call to order – Mayor Slagel called the meeting to order.
2. Mayor Slagel directed the Clerk to call roll and the following members of Council answered present: Gary Norris, Steve Endres, Charles Hoselton, Jon Kinate, Bruce Weber, Gerald Hoffman, Lynn Dameron and Bill Schmidgall.

4. Motion to approve the Consent Agenda – Motion by Kinate, second by Hoselton to approve the following items on the Consent Agenda:

→ Deb Moran, ESDA Director for the City of Fairbury, announced she will be hosting a disaster drill exercise on December 9, 2019 @ 6 p.m. at the Fire Station

• City crews have been hard at work the last couple of weeks with water main breaks and the extension east of town in anticipation of the Knapp building project

Consideration of electric aggregation pricing – FAILED, LACK OF A MOTION
Motion by Weber, second by Hoffman to purchase a Corporate Membership to the Prairie Central Sportsman’s Club for Fairbury Police Officers in the amount of $525. Motion carried 8-0. YES-Norris Endres Hoselton Kinate Weber Hoffman Dameron Schmidgall

➢ The Mayor received a notification from the Boy Scouts of America that Fairbury has another Eagle Scout. Joseph Reed Trembley, Troop #1870, will be awarded at the Eagle Scout Court of Honor on December 15, 2019
➢ FYI – Cannabis Regulation Act of Illinois information is available. The City of Fairbury Zoning Board of Appeals will be holding their public hearing on Monday, September 30th @ 6 p.m.
