CITY OF LEXINGTON: Celebrate and Honor The Graduating Class Of 2020 With A “Vehicle Receiving Line”

Graduationgown

City of Lexington issued the following announcement on May 21.

Lexington CUSD #7 and the City of Lexington would like to invite all community members to help us celebrate and honor the graduating class of 2020 with a “vehicle receiving line” this Friday, May 22nd. The Class of 2020 graduates will be positioned up at the City Park from approximately 7:45 pm - 8:15 pm in alphabetical order so that anyone who would like to drive around City Park and wish congratulations from their vehicle with a poster, with decorations, or by honking their horn are welcome to do so. Vehicles may enter the “receiving line” by heading East on Main Street and then following the flow of traffic around City Park and exiting onto Center Street. We need to remind all participants to please stay inside your vehicle while participating in this “receiving line.”

With restrictions limited to just family for our graduation ceremony, we are hopeful that this event will still allow our community to be able to let our graduates know how proud we are of them. Please keep in mind that the times are approximate and should the weather take a turn for the worse, this event may be cancelled.
