City of Lexington issued the following announcement on July 9.
Through the Lexington Park District's partnership with the Bloomington Bobcats and Normal CornBelters, they have set the evening of July 10th as Lexington Night at the Corn Crib in Normal. Proceeds from the evening will be dedicated to the KB Strong Foundation which was setup in memory of Kevin Brown, a Lexington Minutemen Alum who lost his battle with Glioblastoma in June of 2019. Any Lexington student that shows up to the game in their Minutemen Jersey will receive free admission to both games and will be brought on to the field for the pre-game ceremonies. Students wishing to participate in a pre-game tour of the facility should plan on being in attendance prior to 4:30pm. Parents and other family members are welcome to join and are encouraged to secure their tickets in advance through the following link. There will be live music entertainment after the game for all fans in attendance. Please note that all tickets purchased through the link below come with a free hotdog/bottled water voucher and that 50% of all sales will be dedicated to the fight against Glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer that took one of our own.
