Danvers Fire District responded to 24 calls in 2018 - 26.3 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Danvers included 18 fires - nine structure fires, two vehicle fires and seven other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $1,130,500 in fire loss - or about $62,806 per fire.

The department also received five false calls.

The Danvers Fire District had an annual budget of $326,162 in 2018.
