Chatsworth Fire Protection District responded to 20 calls in 2018 - 11.1 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Chatsworth included 17 fires - eight structure fires and nine other fires.

In all, the department saw $37,500 in fire loss - or about $2,206 per fire.

The department also received three false calls.

The calls resulted in two civilian non-fire injuries and two civilian non-fire deaths.

The Chatsworth Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $89,696 in 2018.
