The Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer team will travel to Waukesha, Wisconsin, on Saturday, October 25, for an important College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) match against Carroll University. The game, scheduled for 5 p.m. at Schneider Stadium, will precede a men's match between the same schools.

Both Illinois Wesleyan (7-7-2 overall, 2-3-1 CCIW) and Carroll (5-5-5 overall, 2-4-1 CCIW) are tied for sixth place in the conference standings, each with seven points. Saturday's match will be Carroll's last of the regular season, while Illinois Wesleyan will conclude its schedule with a game at Millikin University on Wednesday, October 29. A win in either of these matches would secure Illinois Wesleyan a spot in the CCIW Tournament.

Illinois Wesleyan recently lost 2-1 to conference leader North Central College at Neis Field on Wednesday, October 22. After conceding two goals in the first half, sophomore goalkeeper Vanessa Gray kept North Central scoreless for the remainder of the match. Junior Ava Mapes scored Illinois Wesleyan's only goal in the second half as the team nearly equalized late in the game.

Mapes currently ranks second in the conference with four goals and 11 points during league play. Over the last four games, she has recorded nine points for Illinois Wesleyan. Gray is third among conference goalkeepers with 36 saves across six league games.

Carroll enters Saturday's contest following a 3-1 loss to Wheaton College on Wednesday, October 22. The Pioneers' two conference victories this season came against Augustana and Millikin earlier in October.

Historically, Illinois Wesleyan leads the all-time series against Carroll with seven wins, four losses, and two draws. Last year, Carroll completed an undefeated conference run to claim its first regular season league title and defeated Illinois Wesleyan 2-0.

The match is set to begin at 5 p.m. in Waukesha. Fans can follow the game via live stream or access live statistics online.
