As the stressors of the COVID-19 pandemic continue, the McLean County Health Department recognizes the damage that measures meant to slow the spread of the virus have wrought on local businesses.
The agency has also expressed gratitude to the residents and business owners who are adhering to guidelines of the Restore Illinois plan implemented by Gov. J.B. Pritzker.
“We thank our local businesses for their cooperation and the measures they are taking to ensure the safety of their staff and patrons,” the agency posted on its website. “We recognize the hardships being faced by our community during this pandemic and we ask for everyone to do their part to help us continue moving forward together.”
Pritzker's lockdown measures have resulted in the loss of thousands of businesses across the state.
Government officials say they fully intend to follow up on all complaints received by the agency about businesses that are not falling in line with, or following the standards of the Restore Illinois plan.
