The second half of 2017: Streator experienced a 518.8% increase in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2017 in Streator rose by $32,488 while total sales remained unchanged with two homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2017, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $38,750 - a 518.8% increase over the $6,262 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were two homes sold in Streator in the second half of 2016, as well.

The median sales tax in Streator for 2017 was $971. In 2016, the median sales tax was $841. This marks an increase of 15.5%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.5%.
