August 2018: Pontiac experienced a 13% drop in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in August 2018 in Pontiac fell by $12,000 while total sales increased by 57.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In August 2018, there were 11 homes sold, with a median sale price of $80,500 - a 13% decrease over the $92,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were seven homes sold in Pontiac in August 2017.

The median sales tax in Pontiac for 2018 was $2,203. In 2017, the median sales tax was $2,186. This marks an increase of 0.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.7%.
