Census Bureau reports Normal population was 54,699 in 2020

Normal had a population of 54,699 people in 2020, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the McLean County Times.

The median age was 25, with 53.1 percent of the total population being female and 46.9 percent male.

The state's total population in 2020 was 12,716,164.
