Normal median home prices rose by 14.4% in the first half of 2022

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2022 in Normal rose by $25,100 while total sales decreased by 11.9 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June, there were 295 homes sold, with a median sale price of $200,000 - a 14.4 percent increase over the $174,900 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 335 homes sold in Normal in the first half of 2021.

The median sales tax in Normal for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $4,074, approximately two percent of the median home sale price for the first half of 2022.
