The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2022 in Lexington rose by $14,350 while total sales decreased by 12 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June, there were 22 homes sold, with a median sale price of $159,350 - a 9.9 percent increase over the $145,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 25 homes sold in Lexington in the first half of 2021.

The median sales tax in Lexington for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,698, approximately 2.3 percent of the median home sale price for the first half of 2022.
