Illinois State Senator Sue Rezin (R-Morris) recently celebrated a major life milestone, her 60th birthday.
Rezin shared details about her birthday celebrations in an October 27 Facebook post.
"THE BIG 60," Rezin wrote in the post. "Thanks to my family and friends for the surprise party. I am very thankful for all of the blessings in my life."
Her birthday celebrations came after a recent event she attended to campaign for Sandy Hamilton, according to the Illinois Valley Times. In a recent Facebook post, Rezin shared a picture of herself campaigning in a neighborhood with Hamilton and Hamilton's husband, Bob. Rezin described Hamilton as a mom, coach, and small business owner who is worried about the state's economy and safety.
Rezin's staff also spent the summer and fall traveling throughout the state. The Illinois Valley Times reported she also held traveling office hours during the month of October in the Plano and Newark areas.
Back in September, Rezin shared her experience at the Highway Naming Ceremony for Dennis M. Neary. According to the Grundy Reporter, Rezin called it "an honor and a privilege" to hold the ceremony in Campbell Park in Coal City to honor the life and legacy of Neary. In a Facebook post, she also thanked everyone who made the event possible.
