The McLean County Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 40th Annual Children's Christmas Party on Dec. 10.
The Children's Christmas Party is a morning for gifts, food distribution, and an opportunity to spread Christmas cheer to local children. The event is being held at the Midwest Food Bank, 2031 Warehouse Road in Normal from 9 a.m. to noon. This event will be drive-in, drive-out and packages will be loaded onto vehicles.
Visitors are required to pre-register online at shorturl.at/FGUY5 before attending to receive packages and food. Those unable to pre-register online should send an e-mail to bnchildrenschristmas@gmail.com or write to “Children’s Christmas,” Midwest Region Laborers, 2201 Eastland Drive, Suite #4. Bloomington IL 61704. Information provided should in include your name, address, phone number and the number of children ages 12 and under with the age and gender of each child (if desired). Make sure you indicate the time you will arrive at the event.
For 40 years, the McLean County Chamber of Commerce has worked with local Trades and Labor Unions to bring this event to the community. The Illinois Prairie Community Foundation encourages residents are encouraged to make donations to support local needy families during the holiday season. Those that wish to mail in their donations can send checks payable to "IPCF" with “Children’s Christmas Party” noted on the memo line to Illinois Prairie Community Foundation, 915 E. Washington St., Suite 2, Bloomington, IL 61701.
All donations will receive a personal letter for tax deduction purposes.
