Illinois - In response to the new gun ban/registration law implemented by Democrats, Speaker ***@*** has introduced a bill to safeguard the personal information of law-abiding gun owners. The bill, known as House Bill 4150, aims to protect the information that gun owners are required to submit to the state in order to register certain firearms.

"I am sponsoring a new bill to help protect personal information law-abiding gun owners are now required to submit to the state to register certain firearms under Democrats’ new gun ban/registration law," said Speaker ***@***.

The new gun ban/registration law not only prohibits the ownership of several commonly owned firearms but also mandates that gun owners register other firearms and attachments with the state by January 1st. However, legal challenges to the law are still being processed in the courts.

If House Bill 4150 is passed and the gun ban law is found unconstitutional, it would require the State Police to immediately destroy all personal information submitted by gun owners to comply with the registration portion of the law.
