The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) has released its Women's Volleyball Preseason Coaches Poll, with Illinois Wesleyan University (IWU) predicted to finish fourth in the league. The poll, unveiled on August 20, awarded IWU 47 points.
North Park, the reigning CCIW Tournament Champion, was chosen to win the conference with 62 points and six first-place votes. Carthage followed in second place with 55 points and two first-place votes. Millikin secured third place with 49 points and one first-place vote.
Augustana earned a fifth-place ranking with 31 points. Elmhurst and North Central tied for sixth place, each recording 25 points. Wheaton and Carroll rounded out the poll in eighth and ninth places with 21 and nine points respectively.
Voting is conducted by the CCIW's head women's volleyball coaches. Each coach ranks the eight other schools in order of predicted finish, assigning points in reverse order (eight points for first place, seven for second, etc.). Coaches are not permitted to vote for their own teams.
The Titans will commence their 2024 season at the Wittenberg Fall Classic from August 30-31. They will face Mount St. Joseph University on Friday at 7 p.m. ET before playing against Otterbein University and Baldwin Wallace University on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. ET and 3 p.m. ET respectively.
