NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Junior Kannyn Boyd of Illinois Wesleyan University has been named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Defensive Player of the Week for her performance in leading the women's volleyball team to a 3-0 weekend at home.

Boyd recorded 50 digs over 10 sets, averaging 5.00 per set, and was instrumental in securing a spot on the Crafted Classic All-Tournament Team. Her defensive efforts contributed to holding opponents to a .094 attack percentage for the week, including limiting Webster to a sub-zero mark during their match. Additionally, Boyd tallied 13 assists (1.30 per set) and five aces (0.50 per set).

In the tournament opener against DePauw on Friday night, Sept. 6, Boyd matched her career-high with 29 digs, alongside six assists and two aces in a four-set victory. She continued her strong performance with 16 digs, three aces, and three assists in a sweep over Loras on Saturday, Sept. 7. The tournament concluded with Boyd contributing five digs and four assists in a three-set win against Webster.

The Titans are scheduled to face No. 7 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater on Wednesday night, Sept. 11 at 7 p.m.
