San Diego, Calif.-- On day three of the 67th ITA Collegiate, the Redbirds secured one singles win. This weekend's invitational is the third of four road matches that take place during the 2024-25 men's fall tennis schedule.
Jett Leong defeated University of San Diego's Freedman in straight sets by a score of 6-4, 6-2. Day four of the Invite will begin at 9 a.m. at Skip and Cindy Hogan Tennis Center on the campus of San Diego University.
Leong, an East Florida State transfer, recorded his first win as a member of the Illinois State Redbirds.
Following the conclusion of this weekend's invite, the Redbirds will be back in action as they travel to Michigan State University for the ITA Midwest Regionals to conclude the fall portion of the schedule.
