Illinois State University has announced that Erin Egolf will join the Redbird soccer team as an assistant coach. She will work alongside Coach Raleigh DeRose and Associate Head Coach Paul Meehan.

Egolf brings with her a notable track record from her tenure at the University of Springfield (UIS), where she was the head coach for the women's soccer program. During her time there, she became the winningest coach in UIS history with a record of 53-66-19 and led the team to three tournament appearances in 2017, 2022, and 2023. Her connection to UIS extends back to when she served as an assistant coach from fall 2013 to spring 2016 and as a player from 2010-2013. Notably, Egolf also played for Illinois State during her freshman year in 2009.

"I am thrilled to welcome Erin Egolf to the Redbird Family," said DeRose. "In addition to her experience in the college game, Erin brings a passion and commitment to player development and a desire to compete. These traits along with her energy will make her a tremendous addition to our staff."

Egolf's career includes serving as Assistant Athletic Director at UIS since October 2023. Her roles included being the Women's Golf NCAA Tournament Director in 2022, participating on strategic planning committees, acting as housing liaison for athletics, managing various athletic events, and contributing to search committees within the department.

Throughout her coaching career at UIS, Egolf mentored several standout athletes such as All-Region selections Abby Dellamorte '23, Sierra Cenek '21-'23, and Maggie Juhlin '19. Under her guidance off-field, the team maintained high academic standards with a perfect graduation rate and consistently high GPAs.

"Thanks to Coach DeRose for the opportunity to join her staff and the Redbird Women's Soccer family," stated Egolf. "I'm more than ready to get started and look forward to this new chapter within ISU Athletics."

Before becoming head coach at UIS, Egolf was involved in training sessions planning, recruitment assistance, film session management, and maintaining academic performance standards for student-athletes. As a player herself at UIS, she held records for career goals and points while earning multiple conference honors throughout her collegiate years.

Egolf returns now to Normal after having been part of Illinois State's soccer program in 2009 as a starting center midfielder on their MVC All-Freshman Team.
