Illinois Wesleyan University's baseball team is set to host Carroll University for a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin series on March 29 and 30. The first game will take place at Horenberger Field on Friday at 3 p.m., followed by a doubleheader on Saturday, with games scheduled for 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. The Titans currently hold a record of 10-7 (0-1 CCIW), while the Pioneers stand at 5-10 (0-0 CCIW).

Since their first meeting in 2017, the Titans have won 13 out of the last 20 games against Carroll. Their most recent matchup was during last year's CCIW tournament, where Illinois Wesleyan triumphed over Carroll with an 11-3 victory.

The Titans recently played a three-game series against Wabash College, finishing with one win and two losses. They scored a total of 13 runs but conceded 21 runs across the series. In their latest game against Millikin University on March 27, they were defeated by the Big Blue with a score of 5-3 under challenging weather conditions.

Carroll University comes into this series after securing a convincing win over Rockford University, defeating them by a score of 9-2.

Key players for Illinois Wesleyan include junior Justin Gadomski from Schaumburg, Illinois, who leads his team in batting average (.352), at-bats (71), and hits (25). Senior Jacob Cyrus from Glen Ellyn, Illinois has achieved the highest slugging percentage (.621) on his team. On the pitching side, junior Dalen Banks from Springfield holds an impressive ERA of 1.65 in conference play.
