The Illinois Wesleyan University men's golf team remains in second place after the second round of the Golfweek October Classic, held at the Raven Golf Club in Sandestin, Florida. The team posted a score of 290 for the round, bringing their total to 569 over two rounds.
Methodist University moved into first place with a score of 287 and holds a three-stroke lead over Illinois Wesleyan at 566. Emory University fell to third position after scoring 298 in the second round, resulting in a total of 574. St. John's and Carnegie Mellon are tied for fourth with scores of 578.
Junior Griffin Pohl from Western Springs delivered Illinois Wesleyan's best performance of the day with a one-under-par score of 70, placing him tied for 17th overall. Junior Quinn Clifford is currently in fourth place individually, while sophomore Juney Bai and fifth-year Bobby Beaubien are both ranked within the top-25 players.
