The Illinois Wesleyan University men's golf team concluded its fall season with a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Division III Preview in Las Vegas. The tournament, held at Boulder Creek Golf Club, saw the Titans end with a score of 877 after rounds of 301, 289, and 287.
Bobby Beaubien led the team, tying for sixth place individually. He achieved IWU's best round with a three-under-par 69, finishing with a total score of 216 over 54 holes. Quinn Clifford tied for 16th place with scores of 73, 73, and 74 to reach a total of 220. Juney Bai secured a share of the 21st position by carding a two-under-par final round to complete his tournament at 221.
Methodist University won the event with an overall score of 850. Carnegie Mellon followed in second place with a score of 875. Washington & Lee and Emory both tied for third place at 876, narrowly surpassing Illinois Wesleyan.
This tournament marks the last competition for Illinois Wesleyan this fall; they will resume play in March.
