The Illinois Wesleyan University men's golf team has been ranked fifth in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin Division III ratings. The rankings, updated on November 16, assess 306 Division III programs and are a product of efforts by Lance Ringler, Larry Duffie, and the Golfweek Sagarin Rankings crew.
Methodist leads the standings, followed by Emory and Oglethorpe in second and third places. Lynchburg is positioned just ahead of Illinois Wesleyan. Completing the top ten are Bethel, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, Carnegie Mellon, Wittenberg, and Babson.
Throughout their fall season, the Titans secured three top-two finishes. They achieved victories at both the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Preview and the Butts Classic. Additionally, they were runners-up at the Golfweek October Classic before concluding with a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Division III Preview.
Individual accolades went to Jackson Hulsey, Raj Sethi, Bobby Beaubien, and Quinn Clifford who each received CCIW Golfer of the Week honors for their performances during this period.
Looking forward to spring competition, Illinois Wesleyan will resume its season at the Jekyll Island Intercollegiate from March 22-24.
