One day before the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Golf Championship begins, the league office released its pre-championship poll results. The Illinois Wesleyan University men's golf team secured the top position with eight first-place votes and a total of 64 points. The Titans aim to win their 12th consecutive CCIW Championship.
The tournament will be held over three days at WeaverRidge Golf Course in Peoria, Illinois, from Thursday to Saturday, May 2-4. Tee times start at 8 a.m. on Thursday on the par-72, 7030-yard course.
Illinois Wesleyan's lineup includes fifth-year Bobby Beaubien from Barrington, juniors Quinn Clifford from Chicago and Griffin Pohl from Western Springs, as well as sophomores Juney Bai from Mokena and Michael Spitzer from Hinsdale.
