After a four-day wait, the Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer team has secured the final spot in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Tournament. The team is scheduled to face No. 3 seed Carroll University in a quarterfinal match on Saturday, October 28, in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

Illinois Wesleyan ended its regular season with a 6-0 defeat against North Central on October 21. North Central claimed the CCIW regular season title with an undefeated conference record of 8-0 and holds the No. 1 seed for the tournament. Wheaton is seeded second, followed by Carroll at third, Augustana at fourth, Millikin at fifth, and Illinois Wesleyan completing the lineup as sixth.

This year marks Illinois Wesleyan's 21st consecutive appearance in the CCIW Tournament. They will be facing Carroll for the second consecutive year in the opening round. In their last encounter on October 7, Carroll won with a single goal scored by Brielle Ingalsbee in the first half. Despite this recent loss, Illinois Wesleyan leads their series history with seven wins, two losses, and two draws since 2009.

The upcoming match will take place at Schneider Stadium with a kickoff time set for 1 p.m. The game will be available via live stream and live stats.

In other quarterfinal action on Saturday, No. 5 Millikin will play against No. 4 Augustana in Rock Island, Illinois at 1 p.m., while top seeds North Central and Wheaton await their semifinal opponents for matches scheduled on November 1.
