After a successful spring break trip, the Illinois Wesleyan University women's lacrosse team is set to face Calvin University in a non-conference match on Wednesday, March 20. The game will take place at Tucci Stadium, beginning at 7 p.m.

The Titans, currently holding a 4-2 record, are coming off a strong 17-6 victory against the University of Puget Sound. Senior Britney Maldonado was instrumental in the win with three goals and eight assists, contributing to her total of 11 points for the game. Junior Mia Fiandaca also played a key role by scoring seven goals. In goal, junior Bri Kiser made six saves over the course of the match.

Maldonado has been having an impressive senior season, leading the nation with 39 assists and ranking second nationally with an average of 6.50 assists per game. She also ranks highly in overall points with 57 and averages 9.50 points per game. Fiandaca follows with 25 points and leads her team in goals scored with 23.

Sophomore Devon Hanson has excelled at draw controls this season, securing 39 wins in this area. Sophomore Sadie Newton and Fiandaca follow closely behind in draw controls and caused turnovers. Hanson also leads the team in ground balls.

Kiser has been consistent as goalkeeper throughout the season, logging all available minutes between the posts for IWU and achieving a .398 save percentage across six games.

This upcoming match marks only their second encounter with Calvin University; IWU previously won their first meeting back on April 2, 2016, by a narrow margin of one point (8-7). Most recently Calvin fell to Baldwin Wallace University on March 16.
