The Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer team is preparing to face Millikin University in their quest for a first College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) victory. The match is scheduled for Wednesday, September 26, at Frank M. Lindsay Field, with kickoff at 7 p.m.

In their recent CCIW opener on Saturday, September 23, the Titans played to a 1-1 draw against Carthage College. During that match, Carthage took the lead just before halftime in the 42nd minute. However, Tegan Timerman managed to equalize for the Titans in the 54th minute with her first goal of the season. Both teams earned a point from this encounter.

The upcoming game sees IWU with a current record of 1-7-1 as they prepare to take on Millikin's Big Blue, who stand at an overall record of 4-4 following a narrow defeat by Carroll in their own CCIW opener. In that match, Melis Barutcu scored Millikin's only goal against Carroll.

Audrey Hofstetter has been instrumental in defense for Illinois Wesleyan recently. She recorded four saves during the game against Carroll and denied nine shots in a previous match against WashU on September 20.

Historically, Illinois Wesleyan holds an advantage over Millikin with a series record of 27 wins to one loss since they began competing in 1996. Their last meeting was on September 28, 2022, when IWU secured a decisive victory with Amanda Yaeger scoring the final goal in the closing moments.

The upcoming contest will be accessible via live stream and live stats for those unable to attend in person.
