Imani Ogunribido, a freshman at Illinois Wesleyan University, has been named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Field Athlete of the Week. This marks the second time Ogunribido has received this honor in her early career. The announcement was made by the league office on Wednesday, April 17.

Ogunribido's recent performance at the Greenville Select was instrumental in earning her this accolade. On Saturday, April 13, she excelled in the women's triple jump event. Her previous best outdoor mark of 11.64 meters ranked her 18th nationally. However, at Greenville Select, she achieved three consecutive jumps over 12 meters. Her top leap measured 12.24 meters, placing her second-best in Division III for the season and marking the second-highest jump in IWU program history. She currently holds the leading mark in CCIW by more than a foot.

In addition to her success in triple jump, Ogunribido participated in other events at Greenville. She was part of a 4-by-400-meter relay team that finished fourth with a time of 48.40 seconds and secured sixth place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.80 seconds.

Illinois Wesleyan University is scheduled to compete next at the Meet of Champions hosted by Augustana College on April 19-20 in Rock Island, Illinois.
