The Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer team secured a draw against Carthage College in their conference opener on September 23 at Neis Field, Bloomington. The match ended 1-1, earning the Titans a point in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin standings.

In the first half, goalkeeper Audrey Hofstetter made two significant saves. However, Carthage managed to score with a shot that narrowly went past her into the upper center of the goal, giving them a 1-0 lead.

The Titans equalized in the second half when junior Tegan Timerman scored her first goal of the season in the 54th minute. Hofstetter and the defense successfully kept Carthage from scoring again, resulting in a final score of 1-1. Hofstetter recorded four saves during the match.

Illinois Wesleyan will continue its conference play against Millikin University on September 27 at Frank M. Lindsay Field, with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m.
