For the second consecutive week, Macy Ludwig, a junior golfer from Illinois Wesleyan University, has been named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Golfer of the Week. This recognition marks the fourth time in her career that she has received this honor. The announcement was made by the league office on Wednesday, April 24.
Ludwig's performance at the UW-Whitewater Spring Fling over the weekend of April 19-20 contributed significantly to her team's success. She was among five Titans who secured top-10 finishes in the tournament. Her individual achievement included a second-place finish with a total score of 155. Notably, her first round score of 75 tied for the lowest round recorded in the tournament.
The Illinois Wesleyan women's golf team has now completed its regular season schedule and is preparing for their next challenge. They will compete in the NCAA Division III National Championship scheduled for May 21-24 at Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Kentucky.
This latest accolade continues a streak for Illinois Wesleyan golfers, as they have claimed CCIW Golfer of the Week honors for four consecutive weeks. Previous honorees include Lexi Onsrud and Emma Thorman from Illinois Wesleyan, as well as Avery Frick and Kelsey O'Connor from Augustana.
