The Illinois Wesleyan University men's soccer team is preparing for a match against Wabash College, scheduled for Saturday, September 28, at Fischer Field in Crawfordsville, Indiana. The game will begin at 3:30 p.m. ET.

The Titans enter the match with an impressive 6-0-1 record following a recent victory over Lake Forest College on Wednesday, September 25. In that game, sophomore Ryder Coleman scored both goals, assisted by sophomore Matthew Perchick and junior Logan Tierney.

This season marks the best start in the history of the Illinois Wesleyan program. The previous record was set in 2012 when the team began with a 6-1 record and concluded the season with an overall record of 11-6 after losing to Wheaton College in the conference tournament.

Wabash College has a current season record of 7-2, with losses to Hope College and Hanover College. Historically, Wabash holds a slight advantage over Illinois Wesleyan with a record of 3-0-2 since their first meeting in 1990. Their last encounter on September 26, 2023, ended in a 1-1 draw; then-junior Mush Bakirdan scored for Illinois Wesleyan from a penalty kick in the game's 34th minute.
