The Illinois Wesleyan University men's soccer team is gearing up for a two-game week, beginning with a match against Monmouth College on Wednesday, September 18. The game will take place at Neis Field, with the kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Titans enter this matchup with an undefeated record of 3-0-1, following a decisive victory over Rockford University on Friday, September 13. In that game, Illinois Wesleyan triumphed with a score of 3-0. Sophomore Faheem Mujahid from Saint Robert, Missouri contributed one goal, while fellow sophomore Ryder Coleman from Bannockburn, Illinois added two goals in the first half.

Monmouth College comes into the competition with a record of 2-3-1 after suffering a narrow loss to Coe College by a score of 2-3. While Monmouth and IWU have not faced any common opponents this season so far, the Scots are set to compete against Millikin next week in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin.

Historically, IWU and Monmouth have clashed 23 times since 1986. The Titans hold the advantage in their overall encounters with a record of 16 wins, four losses, and three draws. Their most recent meeting was on September 7, 2022 when IWU secured a commanding victory over Monmouth with a scoreline of 6-3.

Wednesday's game promises to be an exciting encounter as both teams aim to strengthen their records. Fans can access live statistics and streaming through links available on the men's soccer schedule page at iwusports.com.
