Illinois Wesleyan University's men's soccer team is preparing to face Rockford University in a Friday night match on September 13. The game will begin at 7 p.m. at Neis Field.

Logan Tierney, a junior from Bloomington, Illinois, was recently honored as the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's Offensive Player of the Week on September 10. His outstanding performance last week included two goals and an assist in a 5-0 victory over Blackburn, contributing five points to the team's win. The Titans also secured a narrow 1-0 win against Eureka College.

With their last match played on Sunday, September 8, Illinois Wesleyan enters Friday's game with fresh energy and an unbeaten record of 2-0-1. Meanwhile, Rockford University is seeking its first victory of the season after starting with a 0-4-0 record. Recently, Rockford suffered a 5-0 loss to Ripon College and a 3-1 defeat by Millikin.

The upcoming match marks only the second meeting between IWU and Rockford since their last encounter in 1987 when Rockford won decisively with a score of 7-0.

Kickoff for Friday's game is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Neis Field. Live statistics and streaming options are available through the men's soccer schedule page on iwusports.com.
