The Illinois Wesleyan University women's volleyball team is set to face the Augustana College Vikings in a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin match on Wednesday, October 23. The game will take place at Roy J. Carver Center in Rock Island, Illinois, with the first serve scheduled for 7 p.m.

A victory for the Titans would secure them at least a share of the CCIW Regular Season Championship and grant them hosting rights for the upcoming CCIW tournament. The Titans currently hold a record of 15-6 overall and are undefeated in conference play with a 6-0 mark.

Illinois Wesleyan recently experienced a setback with a four-set loss to the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point on October 18, which ended their eight-game winning streak. This was their first defeat in October and their first home loss this season. Key performances in that match included junior Taylor French's 11 kills and seven aces, along with junior Hannah Tellor's 10 kills.

French has been leading the team's offense with an impressive tally of 323 kills this season, averaging 4.14 per set. Her performance places her among the top players nationally in Division III statistics. Tellor ranks highly as well, particularly in attack percentage within both national and conference standings.

Sophomore Sophia Feeney leads Illinois Wesleyan's assists with a total of 365 this season, followed by senior Abby Erdman and fifth-year Jordan Pierce contributing significantly to setting up plays.

Defensively, junior Kannyn Boyd has been pivotal for Illinois Wesleyan with her team-leading digs count of 313 this season. Sophomore Eleanor Palmer stands out at the net with her blocking skills, leading the team with 56 blocks so far.

Historically, Illinois Wesleyan holds an advantage over Augustana in their series meetings dating back to 1994. The Titans have won eight out of their last nine encounters against the Vikings, including both matches last year.

Augustana enters Wednesday's match with an overall record of 8-15 and has struggled within conference play at 1-3. However, they recently broke a losing streak by defeating Webster University on October 17.

The game will be available via live stream and live stats provided by Augustana College.
