Sophomore Sam Kedzior from Cary, Illinois, has been recognized as the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Defensive Player of the Week for the third time this season. This accolade marks his fourth career award as a Titan.
Kedzior achieved nine saves over the past week. He currently leads in three out of four goalie categories within the CCIW: save percentage at .907, saves per game at 4.9, and shutouts with four to his name. During a match against Augustana on Wednesday, Kedzior contributed to a victory by keeping the opposing team scoreless with four saves. On Saturday, October 7th, he was instrumental in securing a 0-0 draw against Carroll by recording five saves.
Throughout this season, Kedzior has started in nine out of ten games and played for a total of 800 minutes. His performance includes 49 saves and four shutouts, two of which were recorded in the past week.
The Titans will play their next match against Millikin University on Wednesday, October 11th. The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. at Frank M. Lindsay Field in Decatur, Illinois.
