The Illinois Wesleyan University men's soccer team is preparing for the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin tournament, set to begin on Saturday, October 28. The team, holding a record of 5-6-3 overall and 3-3-2 in the conference, has been seeded sixth. They will face off against North Park University, which is seeded third in the tournament. The match will take place at Holmgren Athletic Complex with a scheduled kickoff at 5 p.m.

In their most recent outing, the Titans suffered a 5-1 defeat against North Central on October 21 during their senior day event. Meanwhile, North Park University's Vikings come into this quarterfinal after securing a 2-0 victory over Carroll University on October 25. With a record of 10-5-2 overall and 5-2-1 in the conference, they are positioned as strong contenders.

Carthage College has secured the fourth seed and will host Elmhurst University for another quarterfinal match later that evening at 7 p.m.

Earlier this season, Illinois Wesleyan faced North Park on home turf where freshman Faheem Mujahid made a decisive play in the game's final minutes to secure victory for his team.

Historically, matches between these two teams date back to 1988. The Titans have won nine times against twenty-seven losses and two draws with the Vikings. A win in this upcoming game would mark their tenth victory over North Park and advance them to the semifinals.

The winner of this quarterfinal match will move forward to compete against Wheaton College, who holds the second seed position in the semifinals scheduled for Wednesday, November 1.
