The Illinois Wesleyan University women's bowling team is set to participate in the Lions "Match Play" Classic this weekend in St. Charles, Missouri. Hosted by Lindenwood University, the tournament will take place on October 22-23 and represents the second competition of the year for the Titans.

The event begins at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, October 22, with three team games scheduled for the morning. In the afternoon, participants will compete in eight two-game baker total pinfall matches. The action resumes on Sunday, October 23, with two more two-game baker total pinfall matches before transitioning into a best-of-three double elimination baker bracket.

This competition follows closely after the Titans' participation in the Columbia 300 Shootout on October 15-16, where they competed against 26 other teams and finished in 23rd place. During that event, freshman Tarrah Phillips from Palatine, Illinois made a notable debut by achieving a single-game score of 210—the highest ever recorded for an IWU Titan.

Results from the Lions Classic will be available on iwusports.com once the event concludes. For updates on IWU Bowling activities, followers are encouraged to check @IWUBowling on Twitter and @iwu_bowling on Instagram.
