The Illinois Wesleyan University women's bowling team participated in their first tournament of the season at the Columbia 300 Western Shootout. The event took place over two days, October 15-16, and was hosted by Columbia 300 and H2M Management in Indianapolis, Indiana. Competing in the varsity women's division among 26 teams, IWU secured the 23rd position with a total pinfall of 5757.

On the first day of competition, the Titans played six traditional games, achieving a total pinfall of 3824. Their scores for these games were 716, 577, 624, 689, 563, and 655. Freshman Tarrah Phillips from Palatine bowled a game-high score of 200 during their highest-scoring game and set a new program record with an individual score of 210 in game six. Over six games, Phillips accumulated a total pinfall of 981.

Another freshman bowler for IWU, Kiera Henderson from Silvis, achieved the second-highest pinfall for her team with a total of 794 over six games. Her best performance was marked by a score of 171 in game three. Lexi Schwiderski from Jacksonville also had an impressive showing with a total pinfall of 790 across six games and scored her highest at 173 in game three.

The second day featured baker match games where IWU added another score of 1933 to their previous day's tally. Despite this effort, there was no significant change in their standings as they concluded the tournament still ranked at number twenty-three.

The Titans are scheduled to compete again next weekend at the Lindenwood Tournament in St. Charles, Missouri.
