The Illinois Wesleyan University men's soccer team is set to continue its journey in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Tournament. The sixth-seeded Titans, with a record of 9-4-4, will face the No. 2 seed North Park University on Wednesday, November 6. The match is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Holmgren Athletic Complex.

In their recent quarterfinal match against Carroll University on Saturday, November 2, the Titans' fate was decided by penalty kicks after a double overtime period ended in a tie. Freshman Ben Lyons scored early in the second half for Illinois Wesleyan, but Carroll equalized nearly ten minutes later. After two scoreless five-minute overtimes, the game proceeded to penalty kicks where the Titans emerged victorious with a 4-3 scoreline.

North Park University, holding a record of 12-1-5, last played against Carthage College on October 30, ending that game in a 1-1 draw. As the No. 2 seed, North Park did not participate in the quarterfinals and will make its first appearance in this year's tournament during Wednesday's semifinal.

Earlier this season, North Park defeated Illinois Wesleyan with a score of 2-0 during their regular-season meeting in Chicago on October 12.

The history between these two teams dates back to the 1988 season. Currently, Illinois Wesleyan holds a record of 9 wins, 28 losses, and 3 draws against North Park. The Titans aim to secure their tenth win of the season and advance to the CCIW Championship match.

The winner of Wednesday's semifinal will move forward to compete in the CCIW Championship on Saturday, November 9. They will face off against either No. 1 Wheaton or No. 5 North Central.
