Racing in her second consecutive NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championship, Illinois Wesleyan University junior Crabtree competed as an individual and secured a 144th-place finish. The event took place at the LaVern Gibson Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Indiana, on Saturday, November 23.
Facing a large field of 293 participants and a cool 42-degree day, Crabtree initially reached the halfway point in 141st place. Despite encountering difficulties in the latter half of the course that saw her fall to 165th with just one kilometer remaining, she managed to regain ground. A determined effort allowed Crabtree to climb back up 20 positions, ultimately completing the race in 22:36.4.
Crabtree concludes her junior season as only the second athlete from Illinois Wesleyan University to compete in consecutive NCAA Championships.
