City of Fairbury City Council met Dec. 4.
Here are the minutes provided by the council:
1. Call to order – Mayor Slagel called the meeting to order at 6:31 p.m.
2. Mayor Slagel directed the Clerk to call roll and the following members of Council answered present: Gary Norris, Steve Endres, Charles Hoselton Jr, Bruce Weber, Jerry Hoffman, Jim Tipton, and Bill Schmidgall. Jon Kinate was absent.
3. Pledge of Allegiance
4. Motion to approve the Consent Agenda – Motion by Schmidgall, second by Hoffman to approve the following items on the Consent Agenda:
A. Minutes from November 20, council meeting
B. Voucher Invoice Register listing the bills
C. Treasurer’s Cash Report (second meeting of the month)
D. Check Register (second meeting of the month)
E. NONE
F. Overtime Report

5. Mayor Slagel opened Public Comment and the following persons provided comments:

B. Motion by Weber, second by Endres to approve Christmas bonuses for City Employees per the schedule provided by the treasurer. Motion carried 7-0 YES- Norris Endres Hoselton Jr Weber Hoffman Tipton Schmidgall
C. Motion by Schmidgall, second by Norris to approve amendments to pay ordinance. Motion carried 7-0 YES- Norris Endres Hoselton Jr Weber Hoffman Tipton Schmidgall
D. Motion by Hoselton Jr, second by Endres to approve renewal of current employee health insurance plan. Motion carried 7-0 YES- Norris Endres Hoselton Jr Weber Hoffman Tipton Schmidgall
E. Motion by Norris, second by Schmidgall to approve request from Woody & Bubba’s food truck to park outside of Old City Hall on Locust St from 5-8 p.m. on December 5th, 2024. Motion carried 7-0 YES- Norris Endres Hoselton Jr Weber Hoffman Tipton Schmidgall
