We have received the completed application from 35 Years, LLC West Raab, d/b/a Marie’s Place for a Class O – Limited Hours Liquor License at 115 Susan Drive, Unit D, along with related documents.

RECOMMENDATION: The Commission recommends approval of a Class O Liquor License to 35 Years, LLC West Raab, d/b/a Marie’s Place, 115 Susan Drive, Unit D, Normal, Illinois contingent on the payment of license fees and any outstanding inspections from the McLean County Health Department, Normal Fire Inspections Division, or Normal Building Inspection Department.

1. CALL TO ORDER:

Liquor Commission Koos called the Special Meeting of the Normal Local Liquor Control Commission to order at 6:58 p.m., Monday, December 2, 2024.

2. ROLL CALL:

The Secretary called the roll with the following persons physically

PRESENT: Commissioner Chris Koos and Commission Members Kevin McCarthy, Karyn Smith, Andy Byars and Chemberly Harris.

ABSENT: Commissioner Kathleen Lorenz and Scott Preston.

Commissioner Scott Preston arrived at 6:59 p.m.

3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: SPECIAL MEETING – NOVEMBER 4, 2024: MOTION:

Mr. McCarthy moved, seconded by Ms. Harris, the Minutes of the Special Meeting of the Normal Local Liquor Control Commission of November 4, 2024, be Approved.

AYES: Harris, Byars, Smith, McCarthy, Koos.

NAYS: None

ABSENT: Preston, Lorenz.

Motion declared carried.

4. 2024-25 VIDEO GAMING APPLICATION: LOVE’S TRAVEL STOPS & COUNTRY STORES, INC., d/b/a Love’s Travel Stop #867, 2007 N. Main Street, Normal, IL:

MOTION:

Mr. McCarthy moved, seconded by Ms. Harris, recommending the approval of a Video Gaming License to LOVE’S TRAVEL STOPS & COUNTY STORES, INC., d/b/a Love’s Travel Stop #867, 2007 N. Main Street, Normal, Illinois contingent on any outstanding inspections from the Normal Fire Inspections Division, or Normal Building Inspection Department.

AYES: Harris, Byars, Smith, McCarthy, Koos.

NAYS: None.

ABSENT: Preston, Lorenz.

Motion declared carried.

5. ADJOURNMENT:

There being no further business to come before the Commission, Commissioner Koos called for a Motion to Adjourn.

MOTION:

Mr. McCarthy moved, seconded by Ms. Harris, the Special Meeting of the Normal Local Liquor Control Commission be Adjourned.

AYES: Byars, Smith, Preston, McCarthy, Harris, Koos.

NAYS: None.

ABSENT: Lorenz.

Motion declared carried.

Commissioner Koos adjourned the Special Meeting of the Normal Local Liquor Control Commission at 6:59 p.m., Monday, December 2, 2024.
