After a series of four away games, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team is preparing for its first home game of the 2025 season against Albion College. The match is scheduled for Saturday, March 1, at Tucci Stadium, starting at 1 p.m. This event will be followed by a women's lacrosse game against Edgewood College at 4 p.m.

The Titans recently secured a victory over Benedictine University with a score of 13-9 on February 26, bringing their record to an impressive 4-0. Sophomore Timothy McHugh contributed significantly with six points from assists and one goal. Fifth-year player Ike Eastburn added five goals to the team's success.

Senior Nick Schroeder excelled in face-offs, winning 17 out of 19 and collecting five ground balls. Senior goalie Colin Tervo faced only 22 shots and made five saves while causing three turnovers.

McHugh leads the CCIW and ranks eighth nationally with an average of four assists per game. Eastburn is third in the conference with an average of four goals per game this season. Tervo's performance includes an average of 12.25 saves per game, ranking him third in the conference.

The team collectively ranks eighth in Division III for assists and tenth nationally for total points this season.

Albion College enters Saturday's matchup with a record of two wins and one loss. The last encounter between IWU and Albion resulted in a win for IWU on March 23, 2024.
