The Illinois Wesleyan University baseball team is set to travel to Crawfordsville, Indiana, for a doubleheader against Wabash University on Saturday, March 22. The Titans will then host the Little Giants at Horenberger Field on Sunday, March 23, concluding the weekend series.
The Titans are coming off a significant home-opening victory against Principia University. They defeated the Panthers 21-0 in seven innings via the mercy rule, marking their highest-scoring performance since 2024.
Senior pitcher Dalen Banks from Springfield secured his third win of the season by striking out seven batters and allowing only one hit over five innings.
Offensively, four players from Illinois Wesleyan recorded multiple hits in a game that featured 18 total hits from the team. Junior Jack Flagg and sophomore John Phillip Ferraro each hit their second home run of the year. Senior Tyler Woltman and junior Gage Wolfe both contributed three RBIs.

The history between IWU and Wabash dates back to 2000. The Titans trail in the all-time series record at 5-8, with Wabash winning last season's series 2-1. Illinois Wesleyan won the first game of last year's doubleheader on March 23, 2024. Then-sophomore Will Davidsmeier achieved his second win of that year, while then-junior Justin Gadomski went 2-for-4 with two RBIs.
