Illinois Wesleyan University's men's lacrosse player, Timothy McHugh, has been recognized for his outstanding performance over the weekend. The sophomore from Orland Park, Illinois, received the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's Offensive Player of the Week award on March 25. This marks McHugh's first career weekly honor and is also the first offensive accolade for Illinois Wesleyan this season.
Earlier in the season, Colin Tervo was named as a defensive recipient on February 25, making McHugh's recognition the second CCIW weekly award for the Titans this year.
McHugh played a pivotal role in leading his team to an 18-15 victory against Calvin University on March 22. He achieved a career-high nine points with five goals and four assists and contributed three ground balls. His performance was key in overcoming a five-goal deficit during Saturday's game.
The Titans are set to return to Tucci Stadium after three consecutive road games. They will host Adrian College at 2 p.m. on March 29.
