Due to scheduling conflicts at CEFCU Arena with the Chi Omega March Madness, an annual dance competition supporting the Make-A-Wish foundation, Illinois State women's basketball will host Abilene Christian in the WNIT Super 16. The game is set for Thursday inside Shirk Center on the campus of Illinois Wesleyan University.

Illinois State head coach Kristen Gillespie expressed her excitement about hosting the event. "We are thrilled to have the opportunity to host the WNIT Super 16," she said. Gillespie also thanked Illinois Wesleyan for their partnership, allowing them to play at Shirk Center due to a scheduling conflict at CEFCU Arena. She added, "Student life and activities are valued at ISU, and we fully support this event, which will go towards a great cause at the Make-A-Wish foundation."

Tickets for the game are currently available on goredbirds.com/tickets. Prices are $12 for general admission and $7 for students and youth. All seating is general admission, with credit card payments accepted on site.

Parking is available east of Shirk Center or across the street from it. Fans can enter through either Emerson Street's main entrance or the east entrance off the parking lot.

For those unable to attend in person, there are several options to follow along: listen on WJBC 1230 AM, access through Varsity Network and GoRedbirds.com., or stream live on YouTube.

The 2024 WNIT features a field of 48 teams with both automatic qualifiers and at-large selections based on various criteria considered by WNIT officials. The Redbirds have secured their place among these teams after winning 21 games this season.

The championship game is scheduled for April 5 at 3 p.m. ET and will be broadcasted on CBS Sports Network.

GoRedbirds.com remains a key source for information regarding Illinois State tickets and other athletic-related inquiries.
