The Illinois Wesleyan University women's lacrosse team is scheduled to face the College of Wooster on March 29, marking their return to Tucci Stadium after a series of five away games. The Titans, holding a 5-5 record, aim to rebound following an 18-3 defeat against DePauw University. Junior Sadie Newton stood out in the recent match, contributing four draw controls and two caused turnovers. Senior Lizzie Rymarcsuk made 13 saves over 45 minutes of play.

Before the game, the Titans will honor 2024 graduate Britney Maldonado for her achievements, including being named the NCAA Division III Statistical Champion with an average of 4.53 assists per game.

Currently, senior Avery Setzler leads the team with 23 points from 17 goals and six assists. Newton is closely trailing with 22 points and tops in assists with eight. The team’s third top scorer, junior Carleigh Fountain, has recorded 17 points. Senior Mia Fiandaca is second in goals scored with a total of 15.

Newton leads with 43 draw controls for the team, whereas Fiandaca, Setzler, and Newton are leading in ground balls. Fiandaca also holds the top position in caused turnovers.

In goal, Rymarcsuk has accumulated 84 saves with a .469 save percentage over 507 minutes of play. Freshman Marli Brown has contributed nine saves with a .563 save percentage in her 92 minutes.
